Seagate Crystal Report With Access Database (.MDB) Example
Seagate Crystal Reports 8
Step 1: Determine a specific need for a Crystal Report for Reporting a Specific Database Table(s) Information. Design Pane
Notice below, that I created a Howes-IT-Going Revenue Report with Generated Sales and Revenues over $25k. This report reads Customer Table data from a Microsoft Access .MDB Howes-IT-Going Proprietary Customer Table.
You can include hypertext links in your report for a specific web page like
http://Howes-IT-Going.com for Web Site or email address like mailto: Steve.Howes@Howes-IT-Going.com
Step 2: Microsoft Access .MDB Table Customer used in Howes-IT-Going Revenue Report.
Notice above, that the Customer Table contains the selected fields in the Report Designer layout.
Step 3: Show SQL Query View to be executed in Crystal Report.
Step 4: Seagate Crystal Report Data Preview Pane.
Allows you to Preview the actual data contained in the Database Table(s) that you have just read.
Step 5: Export Utility.
You can export your Crystal Report to several different types of output files. Here I have exported the Howes-IT-Going Revenue Report to a HTML file.
The Exported HTML web page looks like this HIG_Revenue.html.
